Party Party Party....ugh!

So after the ex and his cousin left the same evening Scotty Boardman, my new Director of Sales, arrived! Clean, clean, clean and organize for the new arrival while trying to get some work done. We also decided to take our web administrator, Brian, to go see some gators before Scotty was to land at 9:45pm. Basically you can look here GATORVENTURE to see what non-beach, non-party, natural fun you can have in Miami in just a few short hours.

So Scotty arrived and the next few days we attended the Internext convention in Hallandale, Florida. We were able to meet with all of our business associates in a very fun and liquored-up environment...yee haw! I got to play Ms. Pacman, Donkey Kong, and Frogger with a friend from Maleflixxx and I totally kicked his butt! Bu-ya Jeremy! But my brain and hand remember the hours upon hours I spent in arcades as a kid.

On Saturday Dakota Rivers arrived for a Serbia release party I was going to throw Sunday evening at Twist. We basically went right from the airport back up to Hallandale. After a few meetings and drinks we wandered down to the lobby to eat at Azia, one of the Westin Diplomat's famous restaurants. As we were waiting for a table that was suppose to take 1 1/2 hours, out popped Dennis Rodman and three girls from the bar. At 6'7" he towered over all of us, but went right to the tallest one of the group, Dakota Rivers, and told all of us that we were too good looking to be waiting. The manager of the restaurant came out and Dennis ordered him, politely of course, to give us a table, which he did, leaving our 1 1/2 hour wait behind. Later in the evening Dennis came back, sat down, and chatted with us for about an hour. He's a really cool guy!

The following day we were all trapped at home since massive thunderstorms rolled through Miami. Oh, and Dakota and I went out a bit late, so we missed the morning sun and woke up just in time for thunderstorm time. After relaxing all day Dakota, Scotty, Rich and I headed to Twist for our Serbia release party. The night started out great with Pussila asking Dakota and I questions, having fun, and passing out DVDs. As the night went on and things got a bit crazy, we all had to call it a night at 4am.

The following day we all trekked to the beach to have a lazy day splashing around in the warm waters. That evening we all went out to Chat Noir at Dream in South Beach. Chat Noir is my favorite night out in Miami due to the great mix of people (both straight and gay) and the wonderful entertainment. Rich and I always have a lot of fun, but when we invite people like Eddie Diaz, Dakota Rivers and Scotty Boardman, well it turns into a really wild night out.

Now it is time to chill, get back to work and get back into my usual non-party routine! (For a bit)

Mom, work, Miami, break-up finalized

Lots going on, just no time to sit down and write. After Oregon I went to see my mom in Northern California. Instead of lazing around all day watching TV with her, I decided to start to clean out her garage and do some necessary maintenance to her back yard; she bitches a lot about things, but never gets around to doing it. After hard labor at mom's joint I drove to LA to get work done and get away from my boyfriend/ex-boyfriend/whatever. Long drives give me time to think and process info and that is exactly what I did. I knew I had to get rid of the boyfriend for good and refocus on work....sounds kinda shitty, but its not like I have no reason to let him go and the reasons to keep trying with him kept getting thinner and thinner.

I arrived in LA very late and then decided to refocus on getting some shooting done. I went to San Diego to get one shoot done that kinda turned messy. Right after announcing my retirement from being in front of the camera I had to jump in and pass the camera around to the other two models. I drove back to LA not 100% satisfied, but what can I do. Back in LA I started to organize another shoot with a guy that I have been trying to use for a long time. We met and right away hit it off. I really like him as a person and he is very sexy. I also was able to hang out with my good friend Chi Chi LaRue and my girlfriend Veronica from high school, so LA turned into a pretty good trip.

Once again I drove back up to Northern California for a quick day with my mom, a quick evening with my lesbian cousin at The Cafe in San Francisco and then I grabbed my ex and headed back to LA by plane. I let him go to the beach with a friend while I did some work and then he had one of his anxiety attacks so I went out myself. Actually, I have felt very alone in this relationship for a long time. The next day we flew to Miami where his cousin had arrived from Italy earlier on in the day. I really had to suck it up and deal with situation that made me feel very uncomfortable. The last thing I really needed at this point in time was to entertain my ex and his cousin and try to get work done at the same time...oh, and have my ex sleeping in my bed with me.

I did feel as though I needed to entertain so I took my ex and his cousin to Key West. Both slept nearly the whole way there (the drive is actually very beautiful once you get past Marathon). A quick overnight and we returned to Miami where I tried to hold it all together. I took my ex out one night where he eyed a physically attractive guy, got drunk, then the guy pushed him over to a not so physically attractive guy. It totally looked like a bait and switch and the hot guy was the bait. The other guy could not keep his hands to himself, specifically off my ex's ass, so I warned the hot guy, then I asked my ex if he really wanted the other guy touching and grinding on his ass. At this point my ex was drunk and would probably have sex with anyone to get to the hot guy, so I just became very enraged. I shot two warnings to the other guy, flipped my ex's hat off (since he was being belligerent and drunk letting the other guy grind on his ass) and finally pimp smacked the other guy and threw my beer on him. Sorry, but I am very protective of guys I think/thought were my boyfriend and don't appreciate random guys touching him inappropriately in front of people I know.

The next two days were completely frustrating for me. My ex ran off with the hot guy leaving his cousin to fend for himself (totally inappropriate) but came back at night begging to stay in my room (purely shitty). I made a decision it was over. I just can't be disrespected in such a way and to see how he abandoned his cousin for 2 days doesn't fit within my norms. All the anger built up into a huge argument between Rich (my business partner) and myself also! My ex and his cousin finally left on Wednesday and I resolved to do my best from communicating from him any further.

Forced Relaxation!

After Panama going home to Miami was actually more like a vacation than the "vacations" I had been on. Living two blocks from the ocean, one block from my gym, and walking around in the steamy Miami Beach weather is bit of peace at home. My home vacation was cut short though when I had to fly to LA on July 4th for 3 days to set up my distribution business. I was able to hang out with my friend Sam on the 4th and then catch up with Scotty during the day working hard to get things up and running and then hanging out at night and running into Blake Riley and Jonathan Chang. I flew home on Monday and then Tuesday took a quick one day trip up to Minneapolis for some unfinished business...now finished! A few days at home and then off to Oregon. Yes, my right-wing, back country father lives in the outback of Oregon. Every time I come here it is forced relaxation because his computer is on a 56K modem, no wi-fi, and spotty cell service. So I basically kick back, talk politics and catch him up on the missing 6 years of my life......ok, you want the story, here's the story:

When I was 18 my brother told my father I was gay even though my brother was secretly gay himself. I'm sure my brother peeks at my blog, so George, if you disagree, post a comment, but I basically feel it was a social experiment on my brother's part since he is 5 years older than me. I really think he wanted to see how my father and step mother would react. I did not find out my brother was gay until I was 27. My father did not react well and I, in turn, reacted equally bad to his reaction to me being gay. This issue was just the icing on the cake of numerous issues I had with my father while growing up then compounded by me being a hard headed left winger and him being a harder headed right winger. The result being absolutely no communication for 6 years. My mother or my brother delivered absolutely no messages to me from my father and vice-versa. So when I decided to implement communication with my father and step mother again it was, well, a weird, but rewarding process. When I saw them for the first time after 6 years they told me they would not have recognized me if they would have passed me on the street. I would have recognized my step mother, but I'm not too sure about my father. Fast forward 9 years and now I have a very good relationship with them that is progressively getting better. They know I own a porn business, that I was involved in porn, and they, well, my father, is coming to closer to accepting me as being gay (my step mother already pretty much does) but he still struggles a bit with having two gay sons. A right-wing, Bush-can't-do-anything-wrong, excommunicated Mormon from a white trash family man that broke free as much as he could from his white trash roots with 16 brothers and sisters, as he could to accept a left-wing pro Obama, porn star, porn company owner gay son.

So here I am picking blueberries in central Oregon.....and you all thought Dubai and India was interesting? hhhmmmm.

Panama!

Well, what better to do when getting back from a two week major international, half way around the world, vacation, but to take another vacation! Sometimes I am not very smart when I book travel. I see a cheap fare, book it, and then forget about it. This time, a trip to Panama I booked a while back jumped up on me a few days after I arrived back from India/UAE/Bahrain.

I had just enough time in Miami to clean up some business issues, make a few reservations for the trip to Panama, and take a swim in the ocean just 2 blocks from my place....ahhhh...the life! Rich and I boarded our noon-ish flight out of Miami to only sit in American Airlines' VERY uncomfortable 757 slippy slope first class seat for about 4 1/2 hours as a thunderstorm quickly approached and stopped all departures and all but essential European arrivals for over 4 hours. The only benefit to being in first class was that we were given food and liquored up, but believe me, the coach seats on the 757 are WAY more comfortable. American seems to slip on the 757 and not install a simple foot rest or cloth ergonomic seats.

After arriving in Panama very late we were too exhausted to do anything but veg in the hotel room. Oh, and Panama has the WORST road signs ever! I think you are just suppose to know where to go, kinda like Beirut, but really no signs that lead an outsider into the center. It is easier getting around Syria! Over the next few days Rich and I met up with a friend of a friend of ours that showed us around. He took us to the Panama Canal, showed us the gay nightlife and helped book us at an all-inclusive in Playa Blanca. At the end of the trip we drove up to stay at the Melia Colon. Everyone told us, and I read several times, that Colon is very dangerous, but Rich and I always love checking things out for ourselves. The Melia was easy to find and in a secure compound just outside of Colon, but the hotel is quite lackluster. The smell of mold and the feeling that we were caught in "The Shining".....creepy cakes! We did make a run into Colon and take a walk through the secured free-trade zone the city created, but it is mainly filled with cheap Chinese junk and likely not worth the jaunt through the decrepit crime ridden center of town.

Now I have been back in Miami for a while and plan to settle down for a bit and get out my new release “Serbia” that you can find on my new website http://www.worldofmen.com/.

Dubai, Bahrain and back home

So even though I did my best to relax my curiosity of the UAE (United Arab Emirates) and my sense of adventure got to me. After having mojitos at the Burj's pool the first day and meeting an American couple (gay couple) and Sikh's that were mates from work from England that got a kick that 2 Americans took interest in chatting them up a bit, Rich and I finally thought to rent a car and go beyond the grounds of The Burj. We took the Toyota Earth Destroyer we rented and headed to Abu Dhabi to see something different and also see the Picasso exhibit at the Grand Palace. We also decided to visit one of Rich's friends' cousin that actually lives in Dubai.

The last time I was in Dubai it was definitely not as developed as this time. Skyscrapers are flying out of the sand an the world's tallest building, the Burj Al Dubai, is near complete and in the center of the new Middle Eastern, or rather, Persian Gulf, Manhattan, that when done, will be much larger and more grand than Manhattan. I did my best also to meet local gays, but most sexually oriented websites, including social networking sites, are blocked. In the end we gave up on finding gays to socialize with and headed to The Mall of The Emirates www.malloftheemirates.com, which seemed to be a bit cruisy, but you didn't hear that from me!

The rest of the time we did laze around a bit but always made it a habit to go every night to Wild Wadi www.wildwadi.com! I had not been to a water park since I was very young so I was kinda excited to go, but was even more thrilled when I found out how the park worked! You see, I think it is the only water park in the world where you do not drag up a tube to the top, but rather are jetted up to the top (see Master Blaster under the rides section) by jets that continuously propel you up the slide until the top and then you choose how you want to get back down! FUN!

Our trip all the way back to The States was not going to be a piece of cake due to connection times between Gulf Air and American Airlines, so I decided to take a half a day in Bahrain just to check it out. We rented a car and decided to bum-rush Saudi Arabia for shits and giggles (Bahrain is an island connected to Saudi Arabia by a 21 mile causeway). On our way there we say an amazing building that we saw the night before on the Discovery Channel where the architect designed three large windmills in between the two legs of the building so it will be the first electricity self sufficient building in the world. So we bum-rushed Saudi and on our way back we heard an ad on the radio for Bahrain's water park so after shopping for shoes (shoes, shoes, let's get some shoes) we drove out into the Bahraini desert to The Lost Paradise of Dilmun www.lpodwaterpark.com (it does seem as though we went on a tour of the fabu water parks of the Persian Gulf, right?!?) A quick Cartman at Casa Bonita 1 hour run through The Lost Paradise of Dilmun and we headed back to watch a quick movie at the mall before getting on our flight to New Delhi, so instead of seeing the Indiana Jones movie which we missed by a few missed we watched a New Zealand flick called "The Ferryman." Sometimes it is cool to see other countries' flicks!

A quick night night flight back to New Delhi, continued sleep at the ITC Sheraton (ITC, ITC, luxury hotel, 5 star...LOL...you'd get the joke if you went to India!)a quick run through the markets and then finally out of (not so) Incredible India. Another 15 hour flight to Chicago, popped in to town to see a good friend that just moved there and then on to LA to have a quick night with good friends before going back home the next day (gotta get those Elite Qualifying Miles!)

Goa, Mumbai and Dubai

Seeing the Taj Mahal is always amazing, but getting to it may help destroy its image a bit. I won't comment so much on what can destroy the excitement of seeing the Taj Mahal right now since I will be posting my memoirs of my first trip to India from 7 years ago. Rich won out on the remainder of the India trip since locals were blocking trains to Rajasthan so I caved in to Rich's dreams of going to Goa. Supposedly Goa is a place that Israeli's and others go to hang on the beach and party, so of course, rich thinks it is something he and all people should strive to do since he thinks young Israeli's are trend setters. We logged into an internet cafe in Agra (where the Taj Mahal is) and looked into booking hotels. I quickly learned that Goa is a region and not a city, so we were both lost at where the "whoa dude, party" people hang out. I found a Kepinski Hotel online and decided I wanted to relax more than be around hippy-esque youngsters trying to delay adult life by becoming beach bumbs and renting $8 rooms (wow, that was me 7 years ago! Did I really say that?).

Anyway, we lazed around the hotel in Goa for 3 days just before the Monsoon season hit. I was finally able to relax and chill. Rich then wanted to go to Mumbai instead of Jodphur or Jaipur (two cities in Rajasthan that are truly magical). I caved in again with all of my warnings that Mumbai is a big dreary city, but hey, I was in no need to have Rich nag me. Of course we arrive in Mumbai just as the Monsoon started. After taking a day tour of the city, we headed for the airport. Monsoon equals massive flooding. Well, watch the video and you'll see what can happen. We got stuck and at one point our taxi was floating and water entered the car. Nevertheless we made it to the airport just in time for the flight to be delayed 3 hours.

After a quick night in Delhi the following morning we headed again to the airport and Rich learned of the secret destination I kept from him: Dubai. We flew on Gulf Air www.gulfair.com to Bahrain and then on to Dubai. When we arrived in Dubai Rich finally learned of the last surprise as a concierge from the Burj Al Arab www.burj-al-arab.com met us and whisked us through immigration and customs and to a private BMW. Rich and I have always dreamed of staying at the Burj al Arab, so I decided to finally implement the plan (they have a special through the end of summer that if you stay 3 nights, you receive free breakfast and a one way transfer in a BMW from the airport). I will describe the hotel as nothing less than magnificent (see my video clip of the room). Off to bed for now, but will update more soon.

Grabbys, Nancy Pelosi and India

I am finally able to update my blog! Right now I am in Goa, India, trying to relax after a very stressful past few months. The last time I left off here I was going to post an update about The Grabbys, but I just didn't have enough time to really write anything, nor did I have any pictures to post. Lately, I have not been in the mood to post random pics on here, especially when I am not doing anything exciting and Chicago definitely fell into that category...ooops, yep, I said it, my time in Chicago was lack luster as compared to last year's event. First, I had major problems with a totally bitchy TSA agent at Miami airport and very nasty American Airlines staff who delayed me leaving for Chicago. When I finally did arrive, I went to Chi Chi's party where the atmosphere was very strange. Chi Chi was spinning awesome tunes and people were dancing around the dance floor but not exactly on it. The mood was very strange and lacked the fun of past events, but then again, the porn world is changing very quickly for the worse.

Instead of going out Friday night rich and I stayed in and worked. The following day I had to fly to Minneapolis and back before going on to the Grabby's where I was only nominated for best foreign film, a category I fought to be included in since all but one of my movies have been filmed overseas. To preface what I am about to write, I am NOT a sore loser and never entered this business to win any awards (the awards are a special perk that give one confidence in their work but usually, unlike 10 years ago, do not bring any additional income). Now, I DO stake my ground when it comes to my work. I work VERY hard to produce my own content in addition to doing all the accounting and planning for my business of which, between my business partner, Rich, and myself own 100% of our business. In the past few months I took Raging Stallion off my box covers, created my own label, and filed all copyrights for my movies officially to ensure I received credit for my work. I do not know anybody, no mater what job they hold, that would not want to receive full credit for their own hard work. So about 2 months ago I read a review of my "East Berlin" that mentioned Raging Stallion throughout it so I immediately felt I needed to correct this mistake and in the process picked a fight that I believe led to my lack of winning a Grabby (even though I was assured to walk away with an award by an insider). I love winning awards and writing this may prevent me from winning any more in the future, but I cannot stand by and have another company be given credit for my hard work. Enough said....but I had to get it out of my system.

So after Chicago I went home for a day and then off to San Francisco to see my bambino and do some work. I am only mentioning this little bit because since American Airlines removed the 767 from the Miami to San Francisco route I now go through LA on their 767 to ensure I have a restful flat bed experience for the 5 hours. (by the way, I will be posting travel tips on my new webiste www.worldofmen.com soon). On the way out rapper Shaggy was sitting in front of me and Matt Damon 2 seats in front to the right....very cool....and best of all, I had Nancy Pelosi sitting behind me on my flight from San Francisco to LA and when the plane landed, before she was whisked down the stairs to her government vehicle, I had to thank her for giving me faith again that my government is going to return to going in the right direction. She firmly shook my hand through my spiel to her while thanking me over and over and looking me straight in the eyes before hugging me then being escorted away with, um, secret service? Ms. Pelosi is a very nice and wonderful woman in person and I just had to mention it. (Shaggy, on the other hand was less than personable when I warned another passenger about pushing me or him to get to the front of the plane.)

So this all leads me to one of my trips I take every year to an exotic destination without my professional camera: India. On our flight from Miami to Chicago Rich chatted up the flight attendants while I tried to rest, but I finally decided to go see what was going on between Rich and the flight attendants. After about an hour or so Rich divulged to Beth, a wonderful South African woman, who I was exactly (Collin O'Neal) and she asked me for my autograph for one of her "boyfriends." I have had many ups and downs lately with the airline I fly constantly, but when you run into flight attendants like Beth and her co-workers, well, it puts a big smile on my face. After working feverishly at the First Class lounge at O'Hare to make sure I had all my "t's crossed and i's dotted" before the big trip Rich and I boarded a 14 1/2 hour flight to New Delhi. Thankfully it went by fast with the help of flat bed business class, Xanax, Ambien, Skyy Vodka, and my strategic collection of other pillows and comforters to make sure I dreamed away the long flight.

I'm now going to save most of my India stories for my next post, but I was inspired to do something unique that you may find interesting in the coming weeks. You see, I came to India about 7 years ago when I was 26 for about 3 weeks and on about $8 a day. I tried my best this time to follow in those footsteps, but definitely not on $8 a day, but rather about $80, but my planning failed miserably. I think in my old age I just can't put up with as much as I use to. So I will be scanning in the diary I kept and some pics from years ago and juxtapose them to the story I will be writing about my current journey. Oh, and all of you travel whores out there, check back in a few days because I will be posting something you will drool over....its a secret right now because I have kept it from Rich. So, tootles for now...oh, and bambino, sorry I have been incommunicado, but where I am at right now has no cell service and my fancy hotel's in room wi-fi does not work so I can't call you from skype!
